У пропонованому навчальному посібнику розглянуто частини мови цик лу “Іменна група”. На практичному тренувальному матеріалі порівнюються ка тегоріальні ознаки іменника, прикметника, займенника й числівника в англійській та українській мовах. Значну увагу приділено вправам на пере клад, завдяки яким студенти навчаються долати труднощі синтагматичної ор ганізації української та англійської мов і шукати адекватні засоби відтворення структурних і семантичних розбіжностей порівнюваних частин мови. ПЕРЕДМОВА
Навчальний посібник “Збірник вправ з порівняльної граматики англійської та української мов” призначений для студентів філо логічних спеціальностей і має на меті засвоєння студентами теоре тичного матеріалу курсу, систематизацію знань з граматики англійської та української мов і розвиток навичок порівняння зістав люваних мовних систем. Посібник містить навчально тренувальний матеріал морфо логічного циклу “Іменна група”, а також порівняльний аналіз імен ника, прикметника, займенника та числівника. Зіставний аналіз іменників здійснюється на основі їх структурних особливостей, порівняння семантичних класів, граматичних кате горій числа, відмінка, родових кореляцій, категорії означеності/ нео значеності; увага приділяється засобам відтворення семантичних оз нак статі та злічуваності, розбіжностям у мовах при відтворенні ка тегорії числа, орфографічним труднощам українських та англій ських композитів і семантичним особливостям віддієслівних імен никових композитів англійської мови. Прикметники вивчаються через призму схожих і відмінних ознак у семантичних класах, через мовні засоби передачі категорії якості ступенями порівняння. Типологічний аналіз займенників здійснюється за особливостями семантики, комбінаторики та контекстів функціонування їх розрядів у порівнюваних мовах, зокрема класів зворотних, заперечних, озна 3

чених та неозначених займенників. Розглядаються орфографічні труднощі структурно складних та похідних займенників в обох мо вах. Порівняльний аналіз числівника ґрунтується на виявленні спільних та диференційних рис структури, семантики, функцій кількісних, порядкових, дробових числівників. Пропонуються впра ви на відтворення англійською мовою збірних числівників ук раїнської мови. Англійські тексти й матеріали до вправ підібрано з автентичних джерел, українські тексти — з академічних, що містять зразки сучас ної української класики. Тренувально закріплювальний матеріал спрямований на відображення типологічних ознак порівнюваних ча стин мови.
